    The Shop Rat Foundation, established in 2004 by a Jackson-based manufacturing entrepreneur, addresses the need for skilled talent and career exploration opportunities for youth. Starting with 15 students, its education programs now serve over 2,000 annually. These programs include hands-on in-school curriculum, community activities like Manufacturing Day, and extracurricular classes and camps. Committed to accessibility, the Foundation actively works to overcome cultural, financial, and geographic barriers for students and families.
