Event Description:
Jackson County Intermediate School District was the victim of a ransomware attack in November 2022, impacting dozens of entire school districts, thousands of students and families, and hundreds of staff for days.
Hear directly from JCISD Superintendent Kevin Oxley and his team on what transpired, lessons learned, and their recommendations for all others in our community. Additionally, cybersecurity advisers will share prevention suggestions for businesses in all industries.
Tours of the Career Center will be offered before the luncheon, and lunch will be provided by the Culinary Arts students who attend the Jackson Area Career Center.
