2024 MLK DIVERSITY BREAKFAST
Meet and greet community, business leaders and students who participated in Challenge Day while honoring our youth as we remember and celebrate the birthday of a great icon, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This year's community celebration features Aidan Sova, who serves on the Growing Michigan Together Council for the State of Michigan as well as the Board of Trustees for Ann Arbor District Library, and is a proud Jackson native.
While attending the University of Michigan, Sova advocated for public legal aid with the Legal Services Corporation. He was one of the youngest members to serve on both the Washtenaw County Human Rights Commission and Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist’s Coronavirus Community Action Task Force addressing racial disparities caused by the pandemic. Sova also interned for the governor’s office, is in graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania, and currently works at Google as an AI Product Solutions Consultant.
This event is made possible by AARP Michigan, US Staffing Agency, and BlueOx Credit Union.
